Senator Tim Kaine Brings Years of Defense Expertise

Washington, DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that he has secured the participation of U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) as a keynote speaker in the upcoming 25th Annual Showcase for Commerce in Johnstown.

“I’m pleased that Senator Kaine has accepted my invitation to come to the Showcase for Commerce,” Senator Casey said. “This year’s event will put on display Pennsylvania’s unique economic and manufacturing expertise and capabilities. I’m looking forward to this year’s Showcase and am confident that Senator Kaine’s participation will contribute to its success.”

Senator Tim Kaine will serve as the keynote speaker for the John P. Murtha Breakfast, on Friday, May 29th.  Tim Kaine was elected to the Senate in 2012. He currently serves on the Armed Services Committee and is Ranking Member of the Readiness Subcommittee. He is also a member of the Foreign Relations, Budget and Aging Committees. Tim was first elected to office in 1994, serving as a city councilmember and then Mayor of Richmond. He became Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 2002 and was inaugurated as Virginia’s 70th Governor in 2006.
