Wolff Became A Public Face of Casey’s ABLE Act which Is Now Law / ABLE Has Been Called “…the broadest legislation to help [people with disabilities] in nearly a quarter-century.”

Washington DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that Northeastern Pennsylvania native and ABLE Act advocate Sara Wolff will be his guest to the President’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday January 20th. Wolff was one of the nation’s leading advocates for passage of the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act that became law at the end of 2014. ABLE has been called the ‘broadest legislation to help those with disabilities in nearly quarter century,’ and would allow families who have a child with a disability to set up 529-style, tax advantaged savings accounts to pay for their long-term care.

“I’m pleased that Sara Wolff will be able to join me for the President’s State of the Union Address,” Senator Casey said. “Sara, along with many other families and advocates across Pennsylvania and the nation, played a crucial role in getting the ABLE Act across the finish line. Her presence at this year’s State of the Union will be a reminder of the progress Congress can make when we focus on commonsense policies.”
