“I’m pleased that the Senate voted in favor of Dr. Vivek Murthy’s nomination as Surgeon General. Dr. Murthy is well qualified and has the necessary skills to succeed in this critical public health position. Last week, I sent a letter to all Senators encouraging a vote in favor of his nomination. Dr. Murthy is ready to go to work and do an excellent job on behalf of the American people.”
