Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement in response to World Trade Organization (WTO) findings that China's export restraints on rare earths are inconsistent with China's WTO obligations:

“I’m pleased that the WTO has taken this important step to stand up to China’s cheating,” Senator Casey said. “China’s policies on rare earths has have undercut American manufacturers in a way that costs jobs and hurts our economy. The Administration is to be commended for taking this case to the WTO. We should do more to combat China’s routine practice of flouting international trade laws.”
