Today the Senate Special Committee on Aging held a hearing that focused on providing the right care at the right time for people with serious illness. The panel left people informed, inspired and moved. Much of the discussion focused on the importance of knowing how someone wishes to live and what is most important to them when they face difficult medical decisions and the important role palliative care providers play in making those wishes come true.
