911th Will Now Keep Eight C-130s After Concerns About Future of Assets Due to Budget / Casey Weighed In With Air Force to Protect 911th

Washington DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that the Air Force will keep eight C-130s at the Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, home of the 911th Airlift Wing, The announcement comes after there was uncertainty about the future of these assets. Keeping these assets at the 911th will further strengthen the Airlift Wing and allow it to remain a key part of the nation’s defense capabilities.

“I’m pleased that the Air Force has made the decision to keep these vital assets at the 911th Airlift Wing,” Senator Casey said. “This decision is further justification of the 911th’s highly skilled and highly efficient workforce, and I’ll continue to fight to protect the 911th.”
