WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) last night accepted the American Ireland Fund’s Leadership Award for contributions to Irish America and Ireland.
“I am honored to accept this award from the American Ireland Fund,” said Senator Casey. “The bond between Ireland and the United States is a special one forged in the deep understanding of struggles and triumph. I am grateful for this honor and proud to represent my ancestors today.”
The Worldwide Ireland Funds are an international charitable network operating in 12 countries and have raised over $380 million for worthy causes in Ireland and around the world.
