FPRAC Votes to Reaffirm Recommendations on Pay Disparity

Casey Urges OPM to Implement the Recommendations Immediately

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) today announced progress toward resolving the pay dispute at Tobyhanna Army Depot.

“We are one step closer to finally ensuring fair pay for the thousands of Pennsylvanians employed at Tobyhanna,” Senator Casey said. “I will continue to pressure the Administration to quickly resolve this unfair pay disparity.”

The Federal Prevailing Rate Advisory Committee (FPRAC) has voted to reaffirm its 2010 recommendation to fix the pay disparity at Tobyhanna by allowing all employees to be covered by the New York Labor Market locality pay system.   Senator Casey immediately wrote to the Office of Personnel Management to implement the recommendations without delay.

Senator Casey has long advocated for a resolution to this disparity, voicing his opposition to the Office of Personnel Management’s decision to further study the matter after FPRAC’s initial recommendation and urging FPRAC to quickly conduct a revaluation.
