On HELP Committee, Casey Will Serve as Ranking Member on Subcommittee on Children and Families / On Agriculture Committee, Casey Will Serve as Ranking Member on Subcommittee on Nutrition, Specialty Crops and Agriculture

Washington, DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that he has been named the leading Democrat on two subcommittees that are critical to children’s issues on both the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP), and the Senate Committee on Agriculture. Casey will serve as the Democratic Ranking Member on both the HELP Subcommittee on Children and Families, and the Agriculture Subcommittee on Nutrition, Specialty Crops and Agriculture.

“I’m pleased to serve on these important subcommittees to continue to fight for children and Pennsylvania priorities,” Senator Casey said. “It’s critical that Congress invest in our children – it has been proven that early education and childhood nutrition help children learn more now so they can earn more later. Putting in place policies that benefit our kids will serve as a foundation for future economic growth. Helping a child learn at a young age puts them on a pathway to success in a way that few other efforts can match. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that our children have a bright future.”
