Washington DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that he has received a response from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) following his letter regarding the potential expansion of the Keystone Landfill in Dunmore. In his letter to the EPA, Casey asked the agency to address concerns raised by his constituents and conduct the appropriate oversight should the proposal fall within the federal government’s jurisdiction.

“I will continue to monitor this issue closely and urge the EPA and state agencies to be responsive to concerns raised by residents,” Senator Casey said. “It’s critical that EPA continue to examine this issue and conduct any appropriate oversight of the landfill consistent with the agency’s jurisdiction.”
