Washington DC- Following a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee on the nominations of  Malachy Mannion and Matthew Brann to the federal bench in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement:

“I’m pleased today that the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Malachy Mannion and Matthew Brann’s nominations to the federal bench, and I was honored to testify on their behalf. Both men are highly qualified, well experienced and both have ethical standards that are beyond reproach. In particular, I was gratified to speak on behalf of Mal Mannion who I’ve known for years. I’m hopeful that these hearings and the support that these two candidates have from Senator Toomey and I will lead to swift confirmation in the Senate. I look forward to continuing to work with Senator Toomey to recommend highly qualified judges in a bipartisan manner.”
