WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement today on the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News auction:

“I hope that the interests and concerns of the employees of the Inquirer and Daily News are given a high priority at today’s auction.  These hard working men and women deserve to be treated fairly and respectfully.

“The Inquirer and Daily News are institutions in Philadelphia and a vital part of the local economy.  A high value should be placed on a return to stability and security without further layoffs.”
