WASHINGTON, DC U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) today attended the investiture of Mark R. Hornak to the position of U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania. 

“I congratulate Judge Hornak on his confirmation to the post of United States District Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania,” said Senator Casey. “Judge Hornak has demonstrated a resolute understanding of the purpose of his public service, and I am confident he will serve the Commonwealth with distinction. Mark is a longtime friend, a superb lawyer and a true son of Pittsburgh.”

“Judge Hornak has been a careful student of the law throughout his career and has demonstrated an intellectual curiosity and a commitment to integrity, which I know will serve him well on the federal bench,” Sen. Toomey said. “I believe these character traits and his range of experience will enable him to effectively serve the people of Pennsylvania."
