Climate Change Day with Senator Whitehouse

Southeast Pennsylvania

Senator Casey, joined by his colleague, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), toured southeastern Pennsylvania to learn about the effects of climate change on Pennsylvanians’ health, economy, and environment.

Events included a roundtable discussion with local leaders, residents, health care professionals, and faith leaders, a tour of the LEED Platinum-certified headquarters of CertainTeed/St. Gobain North, a visit to John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, and a meeting with Philadelphia city officials on sustainability initiatives.

The Heinz Refuge is a great example of our state’s commitment to conservation. We have an obligation to protect places like this from the effects of climate change.
