WASHINGTON, DC- Following the announcement by the Small Business Administration that disaster assistance was approved for fire victims in Coatesville, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement:

“I thank the Small Business Administration for making this assistance available. While it is difficult to replace what residents of Coatesville lost in the fires, this assistance can provide some relief to help residents and businesses rebuild.  I will continue to work with local, state and federal officials to do all that is possible to help the victims and Coatesville recover.”

On February 9th, after he toured Coatesville and met with victims and local officials, Senator Casey wrote to the Small Business Administration (SBA) requesting assistance.  Senator Casey also followed-up with the SBA in support of Governor Rendell’s official request for disaster assistance.
