WASHINGTON, DC-This weekend, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) is leading a congressional delegation to Brussels, Belgium to participate in a foreign policy forum.  Senator Casey is co-chairing the delegation with Senator Bob Bennett (R-UT).  The forum will feature government officials from Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Asia as well as other members of the U.S. Senate and House.

“As the Chairman of the Middle East and South Asia subcommittee and a member of the European Affairs subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I am honored to lead this delegation with Senator Bennett,” said Senator Casey.  “We are at a critical point in time as we face global economic problems, ongoing military operations and many other global challenges.  We are also at the dawn of a new presidency with a new outlook on foreign policy.  I look forward to discussing these many pressing issues with the political, diplomatic and business leaders at the Brussels Forum.”

The Brussels Forum will discuss many of the issues that will be at the center of the upcoming G-20 Summit next month as well as the 60th Anniversary NATO Summit.

Senator Casey will also be a featured speaker at a panel discussion on issues in the Middle East.
