WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee (JEC), released the following statement on the release of U.S. manufacturing numbers:
“Today’s manufacturing numbers underscore the importance of acting on legislation like the extension of Trade Adjustment Assistance and enacting policies that help Pennsylvania manufacturers grow and create jobs. It is time for Washington to stand on the side of Pennsylvania workers. If we want to ensure that this nation gets back on the road to prosperity then we have to provide our workers with the tools to find new employment and ensure manufacturers are not put at a disadvantage by unfair foreign competition.”
