Names of Fallen Officers from Westmoreland, Washington, Northampton and Berks Counties to be Added to National Memorial

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement on National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

“Today we observe the 50th annual National Peace Officers Memorial Day and honor the thousands of law enforcement officials who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty. Pennsylvanians will never forget the sacrifices of Officers John David Dryer and Robert Alan Lasso, Patrolman Derek Kotecki and Deputy Sheriff Kyle David Pagerly, who were lost in the line of duty in 2011. Let us take a moment to honor their bravery and remember all of those law enforcement officials who put their life on the line in the best interest of the Commonwealth. I will keep them and their families in my thoughts.  Please join me this week, National Police Week, to express appreciation and honor the service of law enforcement officials across Pennsylvania and the Nation.”

The names of fallen Pennsylvanian officers will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
