WASHINGTON, DC-This weekend, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) will lead a congressional delegation to Brussels, Belgium to participate in a foreign policy forum.  Senator Casey is co-chairing the delegation with Senator Bob Bennett (R-UT).  The forum will feature government officials from Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Asia as well as other members of the U.S. Senate and House. 

“As a member of the European Affairs Subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I am honored to lead this delegation with Senator Bennett,” said Senator Casey.  “I look forward to discussing many pressing issues related to transatlantic security and foreign policy with the political, diplomatic and business leaders at the Brussels Forum.” 

Senator Casey and the rest of the delegation are scheduled to leave for Brussels on Friday and return on Sunday. 

Senator Casey will participate in discussions on issues including NATO enlargement, the new Russian leadership, global climate change, international trade and the Middle East. The panel discussions will be led by members of the U.S. and international press and academics. 

Senator Casey will also be the featured speaker on a panel discussion on the Middle East and the approach to take towards Hamas and Hezbollah. 

In addition to Senators Casey and Bennett, the delegation will include Senators Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), George Voinovich (R-OH), Jeff Sessions (R-AL) as well as Representatives Albio Sires (D-NJ), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Brad Miller (D-NC) and Rosa DeLauro (D-CT).
